Quality, packaging and marking

What the order asks for is what the supplier is held to. These are the clauses we quote against and flow down back-to-back, so the item arrives marked, packaged and documented the way the receiving activity expects.

Clauses we quote to and flow down to suppliers when the order cites them. The order's own clause list governs; this is what we are set up to handle. Standards are applied at the revision cited on the order.

What every quote carries

So the quote supports your price-reasonableness determination without us publishing a price list:

  • Manufacturer and manufacturer part number, or NSN, for every line
  • Country of origin for every line
  • Unit price, extended price and unit of issue
  • Delivery in days after receipt of order
  • FOB terms and the ship-to we quoted against
  • The solicitation or RFQ number the quote responds to

Country of origin

Origin is established per line from the manufacturer, not inferred from a brand name or a distributor's verbal answer. Every quote states the end-item manufacturer and the country of origin for each line, so the Trade Agreements or Buy American evaluation can be made before award.

Representations and compliance in full

Counterfeit prevention

  1. Authorized sources only. We buy from the manufacturer or its authorized distributors. We do not buy from independent distributors or brokers without your written approval.
  2. Traceability kept. Certificates of conformance and manufacturer documentation are kept with the order and provided on request. For electronic parts, traceability runs from the manufacturer through acceptance, per DFARS 252.246-7008.
  3. Suspect items quarantined. A suspect or confirmed counterfeit item is held, not returned to the supply chain, and reported as the contract requires, including to GIDEP under FAR 52.246-26 where it applies.
  4. Flowed down. The same requirements are written into our purchase order to the supplier.
